Experts emphasize the importance of remineralizers for the country
Potential as an agromineral depends on chemical and mineralogical analyses; Benefits include cost reduction, reuse of mining by-products and improved climate
With climate instabilities, caused by the La Ninã phenomenon, the delay in soybean planting will influence the safrinha corn cultivation window in some regions of Paraná. According to the Department of Rural Economy (Deral), to date, farmers in Paraná have cultivated 72% of the corn area projected for this harvest, compared to 84% in the previous cycle. Despite this scenario, the latest survey by the National Supply Company (Conab) maintains high expectations for crop production, expected at 13,5 thousand tons, an increase of 18,7% compared to last year's figures. This index complements record estimates for grains in Brazil, which are expected to grow 6% in the 2020/21 harvest - an increase of more than 15 million tons compared to 2020.
In this context, with the off-season window shorter in Paraná, the producer will face more challenges this year. Therefore, to provide the best alternatives for farmers in Paraná to reach the maximum productive potential of their crops, Bayer will present, during the online edition of Show Rural Coopavel (PR), its integrated and personalized solutions in biotechnology, a portfolio of protection of crops and digital agriculture. The event, which will take place between March 22nd and 26th, aims to bring together companies, startups and farmers in a space of innovation and market trends.
"For us, it is a pleasure to be present at Show Rural Coopavel for another year, even if digitally. In 2021, we will provide producers with a different experience, through a virtual showcase, where visitors will be able to understand how our portfolio can help farmers produce more and more of their crops, with quality and in a sustainable way", reinforces Bayer's Marketing and Commercial Communication leader, Adriana Bernardet.
Among the highlights of the online event will be the third generation of soy biotechnology developed by Bayer, Intacta 2 Xtend, with commercial launch in the 21/22 harvest. The technology will provide high efficiency in the control of broadleaf weeds (horseweed, viola string, pigweed and milkweed), in addition to expanding the spectrum of protection against two new target pests (Helicoverpa armigera and Spodoptera cosmioides), added to the four which are already targeted by Intacta RR2 PRO technology.
Bayer will also demonstrate the benefits of the fungicide Fox Xpro, recommended for the prevention of diseases that cause damage to soybean, cotton, wheat and corn crops. The product has a formulation with three active ingredients - Trifloxystrobin, Prothioconazole and Bixafem, an exclusive carboxamide - which enable triple action in a complex, such as soybean rust, target spot, white mold, among other diseases. And it also has leafshield technology, which brings more security to the producer in relation to rain.
In addition, the company will carry its seed brands Monsoy, Dekalb, Sementes Agroceres, Agroeste and its portfolio for crop protection, such as Curbix, Verango Prime, RoundUp and Serenade.
Visitors will also be able to learn more about the benefits of Bayer's digital agriculture platform, Climate FieldView, which aims to connect farmers with insights to reduce risk, inspire sustainable practices and instigate better results. Promoting the digital revolution in agriculture by offering digital tools for farmers to manage their operations more efficiently, maximizing their productivity.
