Innovative biotechnologies in soy, corn and cotton, launches in crop protection and digital solutions are some of the new features that will be presented by Bayer to producers in Goiás during the 19th edition of Tecnoshow Comigo. After a hiatus due to health restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the event will take place again from April 4th to 8th in Rio Verde (GO).

According to Fábio Prata, Bayer's customer marketing director in Brazil, the event will be the opportunity to meet the region's producers again at a large agricultural fair and to showcase the personalized innovations offered by the health and nutrition multinational for agriculture. more productive and sustainable.

“In the last two years, we have been going through a scenario full of uncertainties due to Covid-19 and cyclical issues. Even so, we were able to remain close to our customers and maintained our robust investment in research and development to continue delivering innovation, meeting the specific needs of producers' rural properties, crops and soils”, says the director of Bayer. “At Tecnoshow, we will have the opportunity to show up close, even with restrictions due to the moment we are going through, how we are bringing innovations that allow us to produce more per hectare and that reduce the environmental impact, helping the farmer to make smarter decisions and efficient in the field.”

Visitors to Tecnoshow Comigo will be able to check out the innovations at Espaço Bayer, which has a physical version at the fair after being launched in 2021 in the virtual world, with the aim of offering an immersive and fully customized experience based on the needs and peculiarities of each producer. “Our priority is to nurture an increasingly close relationship with our customers so that we can understand rural producers’ pain points and deliver solutions that generate value”, says Prata. “In recent years we have worked hard to digitalize this relationship with farmers, including strengthening our relationship program, Impulso Bayer, which will be well represented in our space.” In addition to exploring the benefits of the program, producers will have the opportunity to learn more about exclusive experiences and have access to services redeemable through their points, which can be accumulated by purchasing solutions from any of the brands on display.

More options and protection for the farmer

Throughout the fair, Bayer will organize lectures with experts from the agricultural sector on topics such as disease management, nematology, female leadership and family succession. The lectures will be given at the external stands of the Agroceres, Agroeste and Dekalb brands.

Visitors to the fair will be able to see some of the company's recent innovations for the Central-West region and will be able to ask questions about features and applications with experts, in addition to learning about solutions in biotechnology, seeds and crop protection to overcome the challenges of pests, diseases and weeds.

For soybeans, for example, Bayer launched the most advanced biotechnology on the market in the 2021/2022 harvest, the Intacta2 Xtend Platform, which provides a new leap for Brazilian productivity. Producers and visitors to Tecnoshow will be able to see this innovation up close in the demonstration fields of the Monsoy and Agroeste brands within the event.

For corn, the producer will be able to observe experimental fields with the new VTPRO4 biotechnology through hybrids from the Agroceres, Agroeste and Dekalb brands. In addition to further contributing to the control of the main caterpillars that affect the crop from the root part to the leaves and cob, the recently launched VTPRO4 biotechnology presents high productivity with hybrids adapted for the entire country. And for cotton, those who visit the fair will be able to learn more about the new generation of biotechnology, Bollgard 3 RRFLEX, and about the high-performance varieties of Deltapine, the brand with the largest cotton seed germplasm bank in the world.

Another launch that will be present at Tecnoshow Comigo is the newest option for the pre-emergence management of weeds in corn for the 2022 harvest. This is Adengo, which will bring producers an alternative with a broad spectrum of control and two modes of action (Isoxaflutole and Thiencarbazone), acting on both broad and narrow leaves. The solution has a stable and long-lasting formulation and can be used with or without the formation of straw, ensuring the effectiveness of desiccation management.

Another solution that will gain prominence is the Fox Xpro fungicide, which combats the main diseases of soybeans, corn, cotton, winter cereals, sunflowers and beans. Composed of three active ingredients and an innovative formulation, Fox Xpro brings confidence in fungicides, protecting your crops from diseases such as Asian rust, white mold and leaf spots. This comes down to productivity, in three years of studies, Fox Xpro delivered 3 more bags per hectare on average against its main competitors.

For insects that are difficult to control, such as stink bugs in soybeans, corn leafhoppers, cotton boll weevils and sugarcane root leafhoppers, Bayer will present to producers the insecticide Curbix 200 SC, which works to control these insects. in two ways: through ingestion and, mainly, through contact, providing a high shock effect and a prolonged period of control.

As for the control of nematodes, which reduce root development and impact the production potential of the entire crop, visitors will be able to obtain more information about Verango Prime, a nematicide launched for soybean, sugar cane, potato and coffee crops with the active ingredient Fluopyram, an innovative molecule that offers effective and long-lasting control, with a low dose per hectare.
