Bayer entered the physical store market. Its first, on a global level, is in Rio Verde. It was opened today. It has 700 square meters, says the manager of new access models, Giovana Oliveira.
The store is the result of almost three years of a project that is not limited to physical space. This is a change in the company's distribution strategy, driven by the need to fill a gap in the region. Bayer does not confirm if and when there will be other units. It is limited to informing that it is an experimental project, subject to evaluations.
But this context leaves questions in the air: isn't the world migrating to digital? Aren’t sales from these channels the future?
The commercial leader of Bayer Brasil, Marcio Santos, explains that there is a need for closer contact with the producer. This is because Bayer stands out as an innovation company. New products require proximity to the customer. Because it’s not just about informing, convincing people about the usefulness of innovation. You must also monitor the use of products, explain, train to guarantee the expected results.
In this context, the company's director of new access models, Cauê Tavares, says that digital channels complement personal contact. Not the other way around. The company's focus remains on people, on relationships capable of ensuring the correct understanding and use of products. The need for human relationships is not met by digital means.
Customer-focused concept
The Agro Bayer store offers support to farmers and a series of experiences designed for each one's specific moment. It also functions as a center for exchange and learning between producers and other links in the chain, such as commercial partners and service providers.
The store is open from Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 17:30 pm; and on Saturdays, from 8am to 12pm. It is located at Av. Pauzanes, 1700.
