Bayer will soon include glyphosate safety study summaries on its dedicated transparency platform. This next step will mark the first anniversary of the company's Transparency Initiative, launched on December 7, 2017.

“Our commitment to transparency remains fundamental to our mission as we move forward as a company,” said Liam Condon, Member of the Board of Management of Bayer AG and President of the Crop Sciences Division. “We recognize that people around the world want more information about glyphosate - and we are excited to offer access to our glyphosate-related safety data on our dedicated transparency platform. This platform has set new standards of accountability in the industry; We commit to using it as a springboard to continue sharing scientific information with the public. ”

Bayer's platform demonstrates how transparency around crop protection safety studies can help the company achieve its commitment to sound science and safe use of its products, while keeping business information confidential. This initiative was recently recognized as the “Best Public Outreach Program” at the 2018 Agrow Awards for offering excellence in communicating information about the benefits of agrochemicals.

In addition to the glyphosate study summaries, which will be made available on December 7, 2018, access to the underlying safety study reports - owned by Bayer and subject to the review that led to the European substance renewal decision in December - will be enabled in the next year.
