The Points Program, a Bayer initiative for Brazilian agribusiness, recently completed a year of activities, reaching the milestone of more than one billion points redeemed by more than 70 thousand registered Brazilian producers. Its operation is simple: farmers who buy agricultural inputs from distributors earn one point for every R$1 invested in products, being able to exchange them for agronomic services.

This is an excellent way to bring together all links in the production chain, and offer services and training that producers would normally have difficulty accessing. Ivan Moreno, director of Market Access at Bayer, and one of the creators of the program, explains that from now on this initiative is available within the AgroServices Network. “Due to the fact that the Points Program mainly emphasizes the importance of integrating agribusiness, there is nothing more fair than joining it to the network to build a stronger sector.”

Since the beginning of the program there have been more than 57 thousand rescues, Rio Grande do Sul was the champion with 13.990, followed by Paraná (8.130) and Mato Grosso (5.930). In total, there are 49 services available and around 20 suppliers for the Points Program. “The growing demand for food requires constant innovation in agriculture, and the Points Program meets this reality”, says Moreno.

Among the agronomic services available by Bayer, the highlights are:

“We can mention other services such as assistance for the Rural Environmental Registry (CAR), Precision Agriculture, Technological Management System for Rural Properties and Aerial Spraying Service”, lists the director.

However, Moreno is keen to emphasize that the purpose of the program is not just based on the accumulation and exchange of points. Another objective is to ensure that participating distributors also obtain points as a reward for offering services to producers. “By extending the loyalty program, we join forces with the distributors who work with us, increasing the range of solutions to challenges in the field.”

For interested producers, simply register your CPF on the website and enter your score based on the invoice issued by the distributor when purchasing Bayer products.
