Bayer announced today that Ben Kampelman has been named vice president of communications for Crop Science North America.
In this role, Kampelman will lead all internal and external corporate communications activities, including corporate reputation, media relations, employee communications and digital communications for Crop Science's North America division.
"From his many years with the company, Ben brings a wealth of knowledge of our business, but combines that experience with an optimism for the future of agriculture and how Bayer can realize its vision of Health for All, Hunger for None," said Beth Roden, Senior Vice President and Head of Communications at Bayer in the US.
"His experience will be instrumental in continuing to drive communication and support the reputation of our largest division in our largest region."
Kampelman joins Bayer's U.S. Communications Team from its global investor relations team, where he was responsible for investor communications and presentations, including participation in sales conferences, special investor events, quarterly gains and management of matters focused on the Crop Science division.
He began his career at Monsanto more than 20 years ago, joining the company as a communications associate and has served in a variety of roles with increasing responsibilities across communications, operations and marketing.
“I am very excited to take on this new role and become part of the U.S. communications leadership team and work with my Crop Science communications colleagues around the world,” said Kampelman. “I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues to help drive communications forward in North America.”
Kampelman assumed his new responsibilities in November 2022. He holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
