Embrapa study offers guidance for corn producers in light of the new integrated agricultural production scenario
Bayer's agricultural division, in partnership with Farmtech, launched the CropCredit Program. The initiative aims to boost input sales in a safe, predictable and 100% digital way. Starting this month, Bayer resellers and direct purchase customers will be able to access a financing program to purchase the company's solutions. Analysis of customers' CPF or CNPJ will allow pre-approval of limits, without the need for real guarantees.
Marcos Arruda, finance director of Bayer's agricultural division in Brazil, highlights that the company invests heavily in long-term relationships with the production chain, placing the customer at the center of the strategy. According to Arruda, Bayer works to meet the needs of partners, including agile and simplified options for accessing credit with advantageous conditions. The partnership with Farmtech aims to expand producers and distributors' access to credit lines, helping with purchase management and forecasting.
To date, more than 2 thousand Bayer customers have had their credit pre-approved, totaling more than R$2,5 billion in available credit. Credit approval is quick and with attractive interest rates, according to customers' needs.
In practice, Bayer asks Farmtech to pre-approve credit limits for its partners. With the credit approved, Bayer and distributors' relationship teams can negotiate sales with the credit already organized. Bayer releases purchase orders in the CropCredit modality, delivering the inputs to the address chosen by the customer. The entire process, from credit approval to payment, is managed by Farmtech's digital platform.
CropCredit was tested by Bayer in a pilot project at the end of 2023, in Rio Verde, with satisfactory results. The program helped to reduce bureaucracy in the release of credit and will now be offered throughout the country. Rafael Pilla, CEO of Farmtech, celebrates the expansion of the program, highlighting that it will be available to all distribution channels, including small and medium-sized producers.
Pilla explains that resellers can better plan their sales with a macro view of pre-approved limits for the entire customer harvest cycle. The program is 100% digital, enabling the granting of credit without changing the customer's bank limit, without IOF and without guarantees from the rural producer.
Farmtech seeks to expand sales potential without increasing risks. CropCredit does not interfere in the commercial relationship between resellers and end customers. Pilla reinforces that Farmtech is a sales acceleration tool, providing security and predictability for partners' businesses.
