Basf presents Vaboro herbicide for pasture management

When it comes to pasture, one of the biggest challenges for livestock farmers is controlling razor grass. Very common in the northern region of Brazil, this grass causes great damage to the pasture, as it proliferates quickly, competing with forage crops and making control by conventional means difficult.

Thinking about helping livestock farmers with razorgrass management, Basf developed the Vaboro herbicide. The tool that contains two active ingredients, Imazapique and Imazapir, has flexibility of application during the rainy season, in large and small areas.

According to Basf's Pasture Business Manager, Ricardo Zanquettim, the solution offers greater autonomy to livestock farmers, practicality in use due to its formulation and performance in controlling razorgrass.

"The benefits offered aim to control razor grass and re-enter the cattle in the pasture in a short period of time, increasing the productivity of the herd and allowing the cattle to consume quality forage", highlights Ricardo.
