BASF presents a line of products for apple cultivation at Enfrute 2013

The quality of apple production will be highlighted by BASF at this year's edition of the National Meeting on Temperate Climate Fruit Culture (Enfrute), which takes place between the 23rd and 25th of July, in Fraiburgo (SC). The company will present the fungicide Cabrio Top, which allows control of important summer diseases in apple cultivation. “The product has the AgCelence benefits, which contribute to ensuring more uniform fruits with better classification”, says Eduardo Eugênio, Marketing Manager BASF hortifruti.

With a protective effect, the Cabrio Top stands out for its coverage and good grip. Its formulation also provides greater resistance to washing by rain and ease of handling. Plants that receive treatment with Cabrio Top have fruits with a higher calcium content, which facilitates storage and increases shelf life and fruit health.

BASF technicians will also present the products Delan, Polyram DF and Cetro, in addition to Dormex, used to break dormancy in apples and grapes, promoting uniform and vigorous sprouting. In service technology, BASF will demonstrate the Digilab Mobille in the tablet version, which helps identify the symptoms of the main diseases, pests and weeds in different crops, including fruit growing. With the help of a wireless magnifying glass, which magnifies up to 200 times, it is possible to capture the image and accurately diagnose, aided by a virtual library, the plant's plant health. The product speeds up technical assistance work in the field.

On the event

Enfrute promotes technical updating and knowledge transfer to the fruit sector. Over a three-day event, producers, students and researchers will discuss climate change, increased fruit consumption, as well as the control of weeds, pests and diseases in fruit growing. The event is organized by Epagri, Universidade Alto Vale do Rio do Peixe (UNIARP), Brazilian Agricultural Research Company (Embrapa) and Fraiburgo City Hall.
