Basf participates in the 2021 Safrinha National Corn Seminar

Off-season corn is today one of the main crops in Brazil and according to the National Supply Company (CONAB), national production of corn grains has doubled in the last decade.

And thinking about sharing the main technologies for the sustainable growth of this crop, BASF participates in the XVI National Seminar on Off-season Corn 2021. During the 23rd, 24th and 25th of November, the company will address the main technologies for off-season and auxiliary corn the farmer in efficient management.

The main advances and challenges for increasing productivity in Brazil will be discussed over these three days. In this edition, the event will be completely virtual.  

Productivity with sustainability

With the aim of offering the best solutions for farmers, BASF focuses on production systems that include soybeans, corn, cotton and rice. For corn cultivation, the company offers farmers an integrated offer aimed at efficient and sustainable management. From seed treatment to the end of the cycle.

The adoption of technologies contributes to the longevity of cultivation and the farmer's legacy.

Good control, with an efficient technological package and a good response to treatments are essential to achieve high levels of productivity, contributing to the legacy of corn farmer", highlights Marcelo Rodacki, Corn Marketing Manager for Agricultural Solutions at BASF.

The company globally invests 900 million euros per year in Research & Development of the Agriculture Solutions Division to contribute to increasing sustainable productivity and profitability in the field.
