This week the 52nd Brazilian Phytopathology Congress begins and for the first time in a completely virtual format, BASF participates in this important event, promoting the exchange of knowledge and anticipating new challenges to be overcome by all Brazilian farmers. The congress takes place between August 24th and 26th on the event’s official website.
“At this meeting we will have the opportunity to address topics of great importance that will contribute to improving the efficient management of agriculture in Brazil. Furthermore, we will highlight the importance of research and innovations to continue being a global reference in production and productivity, generating increasingly sustainable agriculture”, highlights Sérgio Zambon, Senior Product Technical Development Manager for Agricultural Solutions at BASF.
In soybean cultivation, one of the biggest challenges in Brazil is managing the incidence of fungal diseases, mainly Asian Rust and Target Spot. In response to this challenge, BASF consolidates its commitment to innovation and its position as a farmer's partner company and makes the Blavity fungicide available for the 2021/22 harvest.
The new tool is composed of the active ingredients Xemium and Protioconazole, which offer high efficacy and convenience in bringing together, in a single tool, several benefits that bring more confidence and peace of mind to farmers.
By 2030, BASF should bring to the market more than 30 new solutions and technologies for Brazilian farmers, including crop protection and seed traits, in addition to dozens of varieties of soybean, cotton, rice seeds and various digital tools.
Revysol fungicide is among the innovative tools that will be launched in the coming years. The solution will offer high performance for resistance management and optimization of agricultural operations. In Brazil, products formulated based on Revysol should be recommended for various crops such as cotton, soybeans, corn and HF.
Congress participants will have the opportunity to listen to important BASF lectures during the event. The person responsible for Technical Product Development for Agricultural Solutions at BASF, Marcelo Katakura, will address Blavity's uniqueness for the main challenges of Brazilian soybean farming.
And to talk about the new molecule and all the details of the Revysol family, we will have Eric Seiji Hirata, BASF Agricultural Solutions Fungicide Project Manager for Latin America, present at the congress.
