BASF's Agriculture Solutions Division presents to the market its partnership with Vertem to launch an ecosystem of solutions for the agricultural sector: connect.ag. The ecosystem will offer products, services and tools, from financial solutions to engagement programs, on an online business platform for farmers, distributors and strategic partners.

The partnership with Vertem, a pioneering company in the development of business ecosystems in Brazil, aims to develop connect.ag to be a collaborative, technological environment that is focused on meeting the needs of agribusiness in a simple and innovative way. Bringing distributors, farmers, service providers and partners together so that they can add value to their businesses, connect.ag aims to facilitate and connect partnerships for everyone to grow.

According to Almir Araújo, director of Digital, New Business and Commercial Excellence for Agricultural Solutions at BASF for Latin America, “through connect.ag, distributors and resellers will have a platform to do business in an agile and convenient way. We want to integrate online and in-person with a strong agronomic approach, and offering the best solutions for the harvest. We work with the concept of an open platform, we believe that through the addition of different strategic partners we can make a difference for the farmer and the entire chain. At this first moment, connect.ag is now available to distribution channels or resellers of agricultural solutions and urban pests through the offering of products on the marketplace. The virtual platform brings several benefits, expanding distributors' offerings and offering a differentiated experience to the agricultural chain. The expansion of the partners and the area of ​​activity of connect.ag will happen gradually.

Sergi Vizoso, Senior Vice President of Agricultural Solutions at BASF for Latin America, reinforces that contato.ag is an important step towards further positioning the company as a reference in solutions and services that support farmers throughout their entire journey. “Brazilian agribusiness is increasingly connected and we are closely monitoring this reality.
