On Friday (10/06), the Ministry of Economy authorized financial institutions that operate with resources from the Safra Plan to partially resume contracting rural financing subsidized under the 2021/2022 Safra Plan.
The resumption of hiring will be for Pronaf (Family Farming) financing lines, including investments, acquisition of matrices and breeders, acquisition of tractors, harvesters and other vehicles. Other lines were also released, such as ABC (low-carbon agriculture), Pronamp (medium producer), Inovagro (technological innovations), Proirriga (irrigation) and Moderagro (modernization)
Contracting for financing lines Moderfrota (fleets and tractors), PCA (for construction of warehouses) and Prodecoop (cooperative development) continues to be suspended.
Rural financing contracts with equalizable resources have been suspended since February 7th. This Thursday (9), the Ministry of Economy published in an extra edition of the Official Gazette of the Union Ordinance 5.327, which opens additional credit of R$1.087.605.763 to reinforce interest rate equalization payments under the current Safra Plan, which ends on June 30th of this year.
The Ministry of Agriculture estimates that around R$15 billion in new rural credit operations, with equalized resources, should be contracted by June 30th.
