Baldan is launching a new financing option during the 18th Bahia Farm Show, held from June 9 to 14 in Luís Eduardo Magalhães. The company is now offering barter — the exchange of grains for machines — in partnership with Grão Direto, a digital grain trading platform.

With this new feature, producers will be able to purchase agricultural machinery using soybeans or corn as payment, without the need for immediate financial disbursement. The operation is conducted by Grão Direto's digital barter platform, which provides market data, legal security and transparency throughout the process.

Thus, Baldan reports that it has become the first company in the agricultural machinery sector to include barter in its portfolio of financial solutions. The modality, already common in the purchase of inputs, has been growing in Brazilian agribusiness due to the flexibility it offers for the producer's cash flow, in addition to protection against price fluctuations.

Wolney Netto, CFO of Baldan, highlights the focus on supporting producers. “We offer a strategic alternative that allows investment in technology without compromising cash flow. In a scenario of high interest rates and restricted credit, this represents greater competitiveness in the field,” he explains.

The new operation will already be available to visitors to Baldan’s stand at the fair. “Democratizing access to technology is a priority. Producers will be able to close deals via barter during the fair,” concludes Wolney Netto.
