The Bahia Farm Show was officially opened today with the presence of authorities and representatives from public authorities and the productive sector. Over the next five days, from June 11th to 15th, in Luís Eduardo Magalhães, the agricultural fair will present the most modern agricultural technology in one place. The forecast is to attract an audience of 100 thousand people, who will check out more than a thousand brands from 434 exhibiting companies spread over an area of 262 thousand square meters.
Considered one of the largest agricultural fairs in Brazil, being the largest in the North-Northeast, Bahia Farm will have as its main attraction the credit and interest incentives that will encourage the closing of good deals in the acquisition of machinery, vehicles and agricultural implements, irrigation , drones, agricultural aviation, software, structures such as silos and warehouses, among others.
By declaring the 18th edition of the fair open, the president of the Bahia Farm Show and the Bahia Farmers and Irrigators Association (Aiba), Odacil Ranzi, reinforces his pride in welcoming the public, which is one of the most established in Brazil.
“The fair is strengthened thanks to people, partnerships and, of course, agribusiness. Talking about the Bahia Farm Show is talking about agriculture in Western Bahia. Today, Bahia is one of the states that most applies agricultural technology. In my last year at the fair as president, the feeling is of duty accomplished, of having left Bahia Farm even stronger for those who will come. And may this edition be marked by good business. May you, exhibitors, celebrate the consolidation of good sales and the prospecting of new customers", he states.
On Tuesday (11), a solemn mass, at 7:30 am, will open the Bahia Farm Show activities, with the chapel in the central area of the complex also being inaugurated. The gates will be open for free access to the complex area until 12pm. This Tuesday (11), starting at 9 am, the governor of Bahia, Jerônimo Rodrigues, will visit the fair's stands, and at 11 am he will participate in the laying of the cornerstone of the new headquarters and the Abapa Fiber Analysis Center, and at 12 pm, the ABC+ Bahia Plan (2020 – 2030) will be launched, at the State Government stand. The gates will be open, free of charge, until 12pm.
At 16pm, the traditional Opening Forum will begin, with the main theme being “Use and Monitoring of the Urucuia Aquifer for better water management”. The program on the first day of the event continues with visits, lectures and business rounds until 19pm.
