From October 06th to 09th, in Maceió (AL), the 30th Brazilian Congress of Microbiology will take place, an event organized by the Brazilian Society of Microbiology (SBM). One of the highlights of this edition will be the presentation of the “Profª. Dr. Ana Maria Primavesi”, an initiative that aims to highlight the importance of soil microbiology. The company responsible for developing the only biological fertilizer on the market that restores the soil's microbiome, Microgeo supports the award.
On October 09th, Microgeo, together with SBM, will present the trophy and an award to the student/researcher who presents the most outstanding work in the area. It is worth mentioning that the award is named after the agronomist Profª. Dr. Ana Maria Primavesi. Austrian and naturalized Brazilian, she is a pioneer in studies on sustainable management, drawing attention to the extreme importance of life on agricultural soil.
The 30th Brazilian Microbiology Congress will also feature presentations dedicated especially to the theme “soil microbiology”. On October 07th and 09th, lectures will be held on the subject, which will include discussions on: extreme soil microbiome and applications in the energy and sustainable agriculture sectors; innovations and biotechnological potential of bioinoculants; and new perspectives for microbiome analysis.
