Autonomous seeder is presented by Horsch at the Bahia Farm Show

Horsch presented the Gantry RO G 500 autonomous seeder for the first time at the Bahia Farm Show this year. A self-propelled machine with the ability to autonomously travel along lines previously planned on the computer.

The Horsch RO G 500 has a centralized motorization unit, positioned above the planting lines. Drivetrain is front and rear, with axle spacing of 11 and 4 meters, respectively. With this configuration, with large wheels, it only passes the intended line once to avoid compaction, especially in humid soils. In addition, it has central seed tanks with a total capacity of 12.000 liters.

Horsch launches Dakar NT seeder at Bahia Farm Show

Another novelty that Horsch is presenting during this year's Bahia Farm Show is the Dakar NT seeder, with 106 rows, which becomes the largest seeder on the Brazilian market. The new equipment has a 17cm spacing, an electric doser for fertilizer and seeds, a pantographic system with hydraulic pressure in the lines, which provides uniformity in the placement of seeds. It also has a tank with a capacity for 8.500 liters of inputs, divided into 4.5 for fertilizer and 4 for seeds and is also available in 70 and 88 row versions. “It is a product that focuses on planting winter crops and soil cover, explains the CEO of HORSCH do Brasil, Rodrigo Duck.

The Dakar NT has 2 or 3 sections and is designed to ensure smooth and efficient operation. The pantograph articulation of the lines helps to copy the soil, maintaining a uniform seed depth during planting. The dosers are driven by an electric motor with very high precision and easy calibration. The system has a turbine that pressurizes the tanks and generates positive pressure, transporting the seed and fertilizer, already dosed, to the distribution towers that divide them equally into all lines. This same pressure injects the inputs into the soil through the deposition disc. Easy to transport, it reduces its width to 3,10 meters, eliminating the need for a board and beaters. “And its entire operation can be carried out from the tractor cabin”, highlights Duck, adding that it is a machine that will increase efficiency and productivity per hour/work machine.
