Baldan, one of the most traditional companies in Brazilian agribusiness, with almost 100 years of experience, has officially announced a partnership with NEXAT, a German company specializing in modular agricultural machinery. The objective of the cooperation is to develop a planting module adapted to the specific conditions and needs of the national market.

The module created by Baldan will be attached to the Seed Hopper of the autonomous NEXAT platform, popularly known as the "Monster Machine". The new product will be presented to the Brazilian public for the first time during the Bahia Farm Show. The equipment will be on display at the NEXAT stand, allowing visitors to see this unprecedented combination of Brazilian engineering and international technology up close.

The partnership represents a significant strategic advance in agricultural mechanization, highlighting efficiency, scalability and innovation. The project, which began in 2025, has already undergone successful testing at Agro Basso's Bananal Farm, located in Luís Eduardo Magalhães, Bahia, one of the country's main agricultural hubs.

Technical highlights of the Baldan module

The Baldan module has a useful planting width of 14 or 28 meters and the capacity to operate with up to 72 rows, spaced 15 inches (38,1 cm) apart. The rows are driven by electric motors equipped with individual line-by-line cutting technology. The compact coupling system offers a transport width of just 3,5 meters and enables operational preparation in up to 10 minutes, without tools and via remote control.

The equipment has the greatest autonomy in the Brazilian market, with tanks for 15.000 liters of seeds (black tanks), 9.000 liters of inoculant (yellow lateral tanks) and 1.600 liters for fine seeds (yellow central tank). Its pantographic system has individual hydraulic pressure control per line, ensuring better relief copying, greater stability, excellent plantability and fast operations. It has a horizontal variation coefficient of less than 20% for corn at 14 km/h, allowing planting of up to 500 hectares per day.

Despite its size, when in transport configuration, it is only 3,5 meters wide.

Night operation

This set can perform night operations, offering advantages such as greater use of the planting window, milder temperatures that favor the quality of seed deposition and high efficiency in the precise application of bioinputs.

"NEXAT found in Baldan not only a company with a consolidated tradition and robust manufacturing structure, with three production units, but also a partner with in-depth knowledge of Brazilian planting and soil conditions. This expertise is essential for us to create technological solutions suited to the local reality, ensuring efficiency and robustness in field operations", says Fernando Capra, CEO of Baldan Implementos Agrícolas.

For NEXAT, having Baldan is an essential step in consolidating its technology in South America. "We chose Baldan for its almost century-long legacy of developing robust agricultural solutions and for its innovative capacity aligned with Brazilian demands. Having a partner with this level of commitment and technical knowledge gives us the confidence that the NEXAT planting module will be highly efficient and functional for producers in the country," highlights Felix Kalverkamp, CEO of NEXAT.
