The Aquarius Project comes from a public-private partnership, composed of UFSM, Stara, Cotrijal, Drakkar and OWS, and will launch the first Agro 15 Digitalization Index in Brazil on June 2021, 4.0. The index is generated from the platform called Digitalization and Technology Index (IDT), where soybean producers will carry out a quick test and at the end receive their score compared to the national, state and region average in which they are located. In addition, producers will receive a compass of guidance to direct and facilitate decision-making regarding the adoption of technologies and entry into the digital transformation process of their farms.
This project comes from the first notice from the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI) to stimulate and promote the use of 4.0 technologies in agribusiness, the Agro 4.0 program.
The virtual event will take place on June 15, 2021, at 16 pm (Brasília time), and will be attended by Marcos Ferraz (president of AsBraAp), Edson Bolfe (researcher at Embrapa and Professor at Unicamp), Joana Colussi (journalist and doctoral student at UFRGS in partnership with Illinois USA), Dr. Prof. Telmo Jorge Amado (UFSM professor and coordinator of the Aquarius Project) and Dr. José Alan Acosta (CEO of Drakkar Solos and IDT Coordinator).
The official launch of the IDT platform will be broadcast on the Aquarius Project channel on YouTube.
