Aprosoja-MT promotes Field Day aimed at properties with sandy soils

The Parecis Learning and Dissemination Center (CAD), located in the municipality of Campo Novo do Parecis, will host next Thursday (17.01/XNUMX) the Field Day “Soya in Sandy Soils”. The Learning Center is the result of a partnership between Aprosoja-MT and Fundação Mato Grosso, focusing on research, mainly in sandy soils.

Data from Aprosoja indicate that planting in sandy soils has been growing over the years, reaching up to 30% of planting in Mato Grosso. According to the Agricultural Defense manager of the Association of Soybean and Corn Producers of Mato Grosso (Aprosoja-MT), Daniel Pasculli, during the Field Day, topics focused on the region that has a large part of production on this type of area.

“In addition to serving the Western Region, the trials carried out at CAD Parecis include producers from other similar regions that require different management. Throughout the program, we will deal with crop rotation systems in sandy soils, cover crops, potassium management, sulfur management, system fertilization and liming”, explains the manager.

According to Daniel, the plantings carried out in the CAD followed the region's usual planting date and the cultivars are the same as those used in sandy areas, which provides a closer proximity to the reality faced by producers in the region.
