With the aim of clarifying doubts about the use of the “CAR Map” tool, which analyzes rural environmental registration processes, rural producers from across the state participated, this Thursday (07.07), in a training workshop held at the headquarters of Association of Soy and Corn Producers of Mato Grosso (Aprosoja-MT).

“We brought together producers and partners to provide more clarity and resolve obstacles related to the tool. We had the opportunity to align procedures so that producers can do everything correctly and thus achieve greater resolution”, highlighted Fernando Cadore, president of Aprosoja-MT.

The “CAR Map” system was created in 2021, the result of a partnership between Instituto Ação Verde, Aprosoja-MT, Mato Grosso Association of Cotton Producers (Ampa), Center for Wood-Producing and Exporting Industries of Mato Grosso (Cipem) , Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries (Abiove) and Instituto Mato-Grossense da Carne (Imac). The tool provides efficiency and security in the environmental regularization of rural properties.

At the event, the state deputy secretary of Environmental Management, Luciane Bertinatto Copetti, explained that the State Secretariat for the Environment (Sema-MT) has goals to increase the number of registrations in the “Mapa do CAR” system and that the participation of producer in this type of workshop is essential.

“Our mission is precisely to clarify doubts and work in a transparent way and very close to the producer. This meeting was very important so that all the information reached the end and correctly, only then will we be able to strengthen our work”, added the deputy secretary of Sema-MT.

The “Car Map” system offers an extensive geographic database, with images from various satellites, global, state and federal databases, topographic maps, RadamBrasil Vegetation, geographic base and also the Biome Map, Administrative and Road Political Map, among others relevant informations.

For the 2nd Administrative Director and coordinator of the Aprosoja-MT Sustainability Center, Zilto Donadello, the face-to-face meeting achieved the objective of bringing together producers, engineers and other professionals who work together with the producer in providing data on the basis of the “CAR Map ”.

“It was a time to clarify the main doubts and learn how to best operate the system step by step. The Rural Environmental Registry directly impacts rural producers in credit qualification and marketing, therefore, full knowledge of how it works is necessary”, highlighted Donadello.

The producer and president of the Sindicato Rural de Cláudia (620 km north of Cuiabá), Sergio Dalmaso, said that the event promoted by Aprosoja-MT was important for making many clarifications. “All this information will be useful to producers who currently have difficulties operating the system.”
