UPL announced the opening of a new Research and Development center in North Carolina, in the United States
In order to evaluate the quality of fertilizers to be used on crops in Mato Grosso do Sul in the soybean harvest that begins, the team from the Association of Soy and Corn Producers (Aprosoja/MS) will travel to the main producing municipalities, to collect samples from associated properties, which will be analyzed in the laboratory.
According to the Association, the value disbursed by the producer on fertilizer represents between 20 and 22% of the total production cost, which makes the analysis of its quality extremely important, whether due to the cost itself but also due to the need to confirm the composition of its formula. and effectiveness, in order to guarantee positive plant nutrition, without compromising crop performance.
The fertilizer survey began this Monday (28), in the municipality of Dourados. The goal is to collect 100 samples, distributed throughout the state, which will be collected by technicians linked to the Agribusiness Geographic Information System (SigaMS), in its regions: Amambai, Campo Grande, Chapadão do Sul, Dourados, Maracaju, Naviraí, Ponta Porã and São Gabriel do Oeste in work carried out through resources from Fundems and Semagro, with support from Famasul.
According to the president of Aprosoja/MS, André Dobashi, the initiative aims to guarantee members quality in the product being delivered. “One of the pillars of Aprosoja/MS is to ensure that its members are well supported by the entity, receiving products and services that guarantee their profitability. This monitoring is one of the works to be carried out permanently as a delivery to associates”.
The collection should last until the second half of October this year and the results will be published to the market in order to assess the need for improvements in the product delivery processes and avoid differences in their composition, a demand already met by some members.
