Around 70 delegates and supervisors from the Association of Soy and Corn Producers of Mato Grosso (Aprosoja) will participate from September 11th to 13th in the last module of the Leadership Academy. The corporate education and leadership training program is in its fourth edition, having started in 2009. At this meeting, the central theme will be governance.

“We have already covered communication, management, leadership and class politics. Now, we close the program by discussing Aprosoja’s way of working. Each of the new leaders will be responsible for maintaining and reproducing this institutional culture that we have been building for 12 years”, observes the association's Administrative Director, Alexandre Schenkel.

The Academy is offered free of charge to delegates (farmers elected by direct vote to be representatives in the Aprosoja centers) and Aprosoja project supervisors, who are collaborators in the technical area focused on providing assistance and guidance to members. Inspired by leadership training initiatives carried out by North American producer associations, the program is currently carried out in partnership with the National Rural Learning Service of Mato Grosso (Senar-MT).
