In order to update knowledge regarding the technical standards of the Soja Plus Program, the Association of Soy and Corn Producers of Mato Grosso (Aprosoja) invested in training for the entity's 15 field supervisors. For a week, employees reviewed and corrected studies on environmental and labor standards and legislation and positively evaluated the course.
Responsible for carrying out technical visits to members, providing guidance so that properties are 100% legal, presenting Aprosoja programs and projects, such as Soja Plus, for example, supervisors are part of the Association's extension in the interior.
Western region supervisor, Tamara Souza, participated in the training week and said that she feels more prepared to visit rural producers, as the update was very in-depth in the rules and legislation related to labor issues.
“I thought the course was great. We deal with labor laws and standards, thinking about worker health and safety, in a very rigorous and in-depth way. Something that I observed on the course and that I found quite interesting is that whenever we tell producers that they need to adapt, they already think that it is a high investment, when in fact more than 50% of adaptation is administrative, the organization of their company. So today I feel much more prepared to pass this on to them, so that they can prepare, organize themselves, without spending money at the beginning”, emphasized the agronomist.
The supervisor from the north of Mato Grosso, Juliano Manhaguanha, also participated in the training. For him, the update week was very useful and important for improving the work of the Association's sustainability sector. “It was a week of a lot of labor and environmental updates, with a good update so that we can transmit it as accurately as possible to our associated producers who are part of the Soja Plus program”, he assessed.
Supervisor Marcio Junior participated from the mid-north region of the State. He recalled that the 15 field supervisors are Aprosoja's spokespeople with the members and emphasized how important it is to update technical knowledge. “It was a very interesting week, great learning, labor and environmental standards”, he highlighted.
According to the vice-president of the Association, Fernando Cadore, field supervisors are the most direct link with the rural producer and training like these will be increasingly common in this management. “Given the importance of this employee to Aprosoja, we are concerned about continuing to invest in updating the knowledge of these professionals. Our management sees the training of our staff as being of great importance. Our supervisors have to be up to date, they have to know what is happening within the association, in real time. This will become routine within the entity, as it is important that they are up to date so that they can serve producers as quickly and accurately as possible”, emphasized Cadore.
