Aprosoja brings together coordinating delegates for alignment

Coordinating delegates from the groups of farmers associated with the Association of Soy and Corn Producers of Mato Grosso (Aprosoja) met yesterday in Cuiabá with the board of directors to present demands. The meeting lasted all day and is the first institutional action of the new 2018/2020 administration.

“It was the moment to listen. We looked at the most recurring issues and learned about specific situations that deserve our attention. Now, let’s move on to analyzing what can be done or improved”, stated the president of Aprosoja, Antonio Galvan. Among the topics discussed were institutional projects such as Aprosoja Circuit and Leadership Academy, and cyclical topics, such as Fethab and Grain Classification.

The initiative was well received by delegates. “This alignment is very enriching. We can get closer to the board of directors to stay up to date with the work being done by the association. Now, we are much more prepared to guide our farmer base”, said Magda Ortolan, Campo Novo do Parecis coordinating delegate.

Aprosoja delegates are members elected by direct vote to act as local representatives of the board. Their role is to provide guidance to farmers and present demands, demands and suggestions for Aprosoja's work. Supervision of delegates is carried out by the coordinator, chosen from among the delegates to serve as a link with the entity's management.  

The meeting was also attended by the Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Marcelo Duarte. “I came to listen and present information about the work we are doing. This link is important because Aprosoja members are Fethab contributors and frequent users of our highways”, informed the secretary.

Aprosoja's new board took office in December and began the year working on prioritizing the topics that will be addressed from now on. Four major issues were defined to centralize action from now on: Fethab, Royalties, soybean planting date and grain classification. “Our aim is to define priorities and strive for results to come to our members”, emphasized Galvan.
