APROSESC launches “I Use Santa Catarina Seed” campaign

With the aim of publicizing the quality of soybean seeds produced in Santa Catarina, APROSESC (Association of Seed and Seedling Producers of the State of Santa Catarina) launched, in June 2019, a new campaign, called “Eu Uso Semente de Santa Catherine". The action will publicize the use of the “Vigor + Semente de Santa Catarina Superior Quality” seal.

 Launched in August 2018 by APROSESC, the seal identifies, after laboratory evaluation, batches with high germination and vigor rates and superior quality standards.

The fertile soil, altitude and favorable climatic conditions, associated with a modern installed infrastructure, make the state of Santa Catarina a region with ideal conditions for the production of soybean seeds, making their quality nationally recognized.

In the 2018/2019 soybean harvest, the first lots that received the “Sementes de Santa Catarina Superior Quality” seal were sown. Therefore, now is the time to emphasize the importance of high-quality certified seed and the guarantee of high crop productivity.

In this sense, the “Eu Uso Semente de Santa Catarina” campaign seeks success stories from rural producers who used seeds with the “Sementes de Santa Catarina Superior Quality” seal in the last summer harvest. They are professionals who understand seed quality as a fundamental component of good productivity.

The first case is that of the agronomist and rural producer from Campos Novos (SC), Sérgio Manica. He talks about his family's history in agriculture, the importance of using high quality seeds and the reasons that led him to choose seeds produced in SC when growing his crops.
