As a result, SLC now operates in ten more cities in that state: Capivari do Sul, Caxias do Sul, Eldorado do Sul, Estrela, Júlio de Castilhos, Lagoa Vermelha, Montenegro, Passo Fundo, Santa Maria and Vacaria.
In turn, Alvorada will operate in: Bagé, Cachoeira do Sul, Dom Pedrito and São Gabriel.
The issue of geographic areas is important in the sector due to the provisions of the Renato Ferrari Law (name of the president of Abrave at the time, now Fenebrave). According to the law, each dealership has a specific area of activity. There is no possibility of selling in an area allocated to another legal entity.
The administrative procedure began on April 24th and received a favorable opinion and approval on May 4th. The value of the business was not informed by participants. The decision has yet to be published in the official gazette and the appeal period has passed.
