Application technology is the topic of a meeting with the University of Lavras in Jundiaí-SP

Around 80 visitors visited the Spraying Adjuvants, Aplique Bem, IAC-Quepia and Agricultural Pesticides Reference Unit programs

In recent days, around 80 professionals and academics linked to agribusiness visited the Engineering and Automation Center of the Agronomic Institute (CEA-IAC), an entity of the Department of Agriculture and Supply of the State of SP. There are four reference programs in Brazil and around the world in the area of ​​Application Technology: Spray Adjuvants, Aplique Bem, IAC-Quepia and the Reference Unit in Application Technology and Safety of Agricultural Pesticides.

The group, coordinated by the Federal University of Lavras (MG), was received by scientific researcher Hamilton Ramos, coordinator of the four programs. Among the visitors, there were professionals from different parts of the country, such as Goiás, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Pará, Paraná, Rio Grande do Norte, Rondônia, Santa Catarina, Tocantins.

“It was an opportunity to discuss how many advances have been made by agricultural research in recent years in the area of ​​application technology”, summarizes Ramos. “We also show relevant data and results from these four programs that we conducted with support from the private sector”, adds Ramos.

The researcher explains that the Aplique Bem program provides practical training in the area of ​​application technology to rural properties across the country. The Reference Unit offers courses for multipliers of good practices in the application of agricultural pesticides, while IAC-Quepia develops analysis methods and certifies the quality of protective clothing and gloves for rural work. The Spraying Adjuvants program aims to transfer better agricultural income and promote environmental preservation on properties that add adjuvants to the pesticide mixture.
