The National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) published in the Official Gazette of the Union the update of the minimum freight values for road freight transport. Suroc Ordinance 20/2023 results from a 10% increase in the price of Diesel S10 to consumers.
According to a survey by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), between 20/8/2023 and 26/8/2023, the average price of Diesel S10 to the consumer was R$6,05 per liter. This resulted in an accumulated percentage variation of 10% since the last adjustment in the freight table.
The average freight table adjustments were as follows, according to the type of operation:
• Table A – road transport of cargo capacity: 3,91%.
• Table B – motor freight vehicle: 4,46%.
• Table C – high-performance road freight transport capacity: 4,81%.
• Table D – high-performance cargo vehicle: 5,44%.
Law 13.703/18, which establishes the National Policy on Minimum Floors for Road Cargo Transport (PNPM-TRC), determines that ANTT is responsible for publishing standards with minimum prices whenever there is a fluctuation in the value of fuel greater than 5%.
