IoT device for producers monitors agroclimatic variables

Between the 27th and 30th of August, in Recife, the 51st Brazilian Congress of Phytopathology will be held, organized by the Postgraduate Program in Phytopathology (PPGF) of the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE) and by the Brazilian Society of Phytopathology. This is the main phytopathological event in Brazil and one of the most important in Latin America, traditionally bringing together teachers, researchers, professionals and students from the vast majority of Brazilian states and several countries.
The Congress aims to update and disseminate knowledge in the different areas of Phytopathology and will feature a careful and comprehensive scientific program consisting of lectures, round tables, short courses and works in the form of posters, providing debates and discussions.
During the Congress, the 5th edition of the book “What agronomists should know to correctly guide the use of phytosanitary products”, from the Federal University of Viçosa, edited by Laércio Zambolim, professor at the Federal University of Viçosa and Coordinator of the Specialization Course in Plant Protection.
For the National Association for Plant Defense (ANDEF), Roberto Sant'Anna and Fábio Kagi, from the Innovation and Sustainability area, wrote the first chapter on Plant Defense: requirements, innovation and sustainability; and the third chapter “The importance and effectiveness of legislative pest control” was written by Rafael Cordioli, from the Association's regulatory science team.
The book will be on sale during the Congress, at the publisher's stand at the Federal University of Viçosa, and also on the UFV bookstore website.
