The Field Day of the Minas Gerais Association of Cotton Producers (Amipa), to be held on July 04, 2024, will celebrate the association's 25 years of history and contribution to cotton farming in Minas Gerais. The event will take place at the Amipa Experimental Farm, in Patos de Minas, Minas Gerais, and registrations are open online until July 1st (doity.com.br/dia-de-campo-amipa-2024).
The meeting is recognized as one of the main cotton farming events in the state, and this year promises a diverse and technical program, bringing together producers, experts and representatives from the entire cotton production chain.
Participants will have the opportunity to participate in informative talks and guided tours of cotton planting areas, in addition to taking a tour of the stands and exhibition areas of agricultural equipment, vehicles, products and services.
Since its founding, Amipa has been the main voice of cotton producers in the state, promoting strategic actions to identify and disseminate the best production practices and technologies.
As a result of these efforts, Minas Gerais achieved the highest cotton lint productivity in the country in 2023, with an average of 2.045 kg per hectare, according to data from the Brazilian Association of Cotton Producers (Abrapa).
