With significant investments in increasing the offer of solutions to citrus growers, Albaugh will be one of the highlights of the crop protection area at Expocitros 2022. The main event in the citrus chain in Latin America, the fair reaches its 47th edition and takes place simultaneously with the 43rd Week of Citriculture, in Cordeirópolis, São Paulo, between the 6th and 9th of this month. On this occasion, Albaugh shows the citrus grower the insecticide Porcel 100 EC, in addition to reinforcing the importance of the cupric fungicide Recop.

According to Albaugh, the insecticide Porcel 100 EC was recently incorporated into the company's portfolio, after the acquisition of the company Rotam Brasil. According to Albaugh, this is a cutting-edge tool aimed at the effective control of scale insects (cochineal, plate scale, parlatory scale) and citrus psyllid.

According to the company's technical area, Porcel 100 EC is an insecticide with a translaminar effect (by displacement in the plant) and contact action. The product acts mainly on eggs, nymphs and young forms of these insects, and prevents them from reaching the adult stage, when they can cause severe damage to citrus trees. According to Albaugh, Porcel 100 EC should be applied at the beginning of infestations of these pests.

Another relevant Albaugh technology for citrus producers, the Recop fungicide will also have space in the company's program at Expocitros. Recop, Albaugh points out, is currently positioned among the references in the citrus market for the preventive control of citrus canker, anthracnose, wart, rubellose, gummosis and other diseases potentially harmful to orchards.

According to Albaugh, its portfolio of copper-based solutions, including Recop, is consolidated year after year in the management strategies adopted by citrus growers. By the way, the company's industrial complex in Brazil, located in Resende (RJ), has the largest supply capacity for copper fungicides in Latin America.

Also according to Albaugh, since arriving in Brazil, around five years ago, the company has invested in structuring a 'smart portfolio' of technologies, with the aim of meeting the multiple demands of citrus production. These solutions include the brands Magnum (acephate), Seizer (bifentrine), Granary (imidacloprid), Preciso xK (potassium glyphosate) and Egan (diquat), among others that citrus growers can check out at Expocitros.
