Gift
in the country for just over five years, the global company Albaugh announces
its entry into the list of companies associated with the CropLife entity
Brazil. Holds a broad portfolio of herbicides, fungicides and
insecticides, aimed at the main Brazilian crops, Albaugh
Brasil is headquartered in the city of São Paulo and maintains, in the municipality
fluminense of Resende, an industrial complex with large capacity
productive. Around 200 people work at Albaugh Brasil.
A
CropLife Brasil (CLB) is an association that brings together experts,
institutions and companies involved in the research and development of
technologies in four areas essential for agricultural production
sustainable: germplasm (seedlings and seeds), biotechnology, pesticides
chemicals and biological products. Created in 2019, CLB results from the union of
entities that previously represented each of these sectors
individually. Now, CLB brings together, on a single platform, the
discussions on innovation in agriculture.
In
agreement with the president of Albaugh Brasil, Cesar Rojas, entry into the
membership of the CLB arises from the relevant role played by the
entity with a view to the growth of Brazilian agribusiness. “A Albaugh
now becomes a partner and signatory of efforts recognized by
industry to increase food supply, generate new technologies and
help farmers face the main challenges of
production."
"A
CLB's sectorial activity also takes place in the direction of sustainability and
of renewable energies. The entity supports programs with
which Albaugh Brasil identifies with and wants to see advance, such as the
RenovaBio (National Biofuel Policy), today the largest
decarbonization of the world”, continues Rojas. RenovaBio is anchored in
encouraging production and increasing the share of biofuels in
country's energy matrix.
According to
Albaugh's director of marketing and product development, José
Geraldo Martins dos Santos, the company is also identified with CLB
in order to seek partnerships with different segments of society,
promote education for the adoption and correct use of technologies in the field and
interact with strategic audiences linked to agribusiness, such as
Government bodies and agricultural research.
