After significantly expanding its range of solutions for the sugar-energy sector, Albaugh highlights a robust line of herbicides in the 2022 edition of Herbishow. The annual meeting takes place on the 1st and 2nd of June, in the city of Ribeirão Preto, and is known among the most important in the sugarcane production chain with a focus on weed control.

A strategic culture for Albaugh's business, sugar cane has been the focus of representative investments by the company in the country, including the creation of a specific Regional Division. According to Albaugh, Regional Sugarcane has dedicated specialists serving customers in São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás, Pernambuco, Alagoas and Rio Grande do Norte.

At the event in Ribeirão Preto, Albaugh experts will provide relevant information about weeds “from A to Z”, according to the company. The star products will be Preciso xK (potassium glyphosate), Nongrass (tebuthiuron), Atitude Gold (isoxaflutole), Metsuram (metsulfuron), Ultimatum (atrazine), Compass (amethrin), Bellum (mesotrione), Broker (hexazinone), Example ( 2,4D) and Sulfentrazone.

The company adds that the herbicide Preciso xK has been successfully applied to desiccate sugarcane, in areas of renovation and expansion. Nongrass is considered a “gramicide par excellence, with high application versatility”. Atitude Gold, says Albaugh, is one of the main high-performance graminicides for the dry season, in straw conditions.

According to Albaugh, the herbicide Sulfentrazone is described as versatile in controlling Cyperacea plants (monocotyledons) and broad leaves with complex management. The Metsuram product, also, says the company, delivers robust performance on broad leaves that are difficult to control, in addition to a favorable cost-benefit ratio for the producer, and is also recommended for desiccation, PPI and post-planting, in dry ratoon cane and wet clog.

For post-emergence weed control, Albaugh adds, the technical team takes to Herbishow data that supports attributes of the herbicides Ultimato, Compass, Bellum, Broker and Example, all of which have high selectivity to the crop and high efficiency in broad leaves and narrow, according to the company.

According to Albaugh, the company's recent investments in the country also included the quality and formulations laboratory, located in the Albaugh industrial complex in the city of Resende (RJ).

“Albaugh’s efforts are aimed at delivering an even more robust, complete portfolio, capable of meeting with intelligence and a good cost-benefit ratio all the demands of the Brazilian sugar-energy sector, in the areas of fungicides, insecticides, herbicides and other inputs”, summarizes Cesar Rojas, president of Albaugh Brasil.
