With continued growth in its portfolio of post-patent agrochemicals offered to agribusiness, Albaugh announces investments that aim to expand access to the sugarcane solutions market. According to its president in Brazil, Cesar Rojas, the American company is advancing in the consolidation of a new sales structure exclusively focused on the sugar-energy sector.

“The sugar-energy sector is strategic for Albaugh’s business growth in Brazil”, highlights Rojas. According to the president, the company will now have dedicated management and agronomist engineers throughout the sugarcane agricultural frontier, concentrated in the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás, Pernambuco, Alagoas and Rio Grande do Norte.

According to President Rojas, Albaugh has been rapidly adding new products to its sugarcane portfolio, which currently consists of the brands Ultimato (Atrazine), Abone (Diuron), Broker (Hexazinone), Shadow and Ridover (Glyphosate), Compass (Ametrine ), NonGrass (Tebuthiuron), Greener (Metribuzim), Example (2,4D) and Granary (Imidacloprid). The company's expectation is to launch at least five new products in the coming years, “and thus meet the different demands of Brazilian plants”, comments the executive.

Positioned among the fastest growing brands in Brazil offering post-patent agrochemical solutions, Albaugh has also expanded its commercial and business areas in recent days. The company announced agronomists Breno Vieira and Renato Arantes to the directorates North Unit and South Unit of Brazil, respectively.

According to Albaugh, the South commercial department is based in Londrina (PR) and encompasses the Southwest, Southeast and Mercado Cana regions. The North commercial department, according to the company, concentrates the Cerrado Leste, Cerrado Oeste and Cerrado Centro areas.
