During the X Brazilian Coffee Research Symposium, which will be held in Vitória-ES, from October 8 to 11, 2019, the founding partner and Commercial Director of Agrotopus, Ricardo Venceslau, will give the lecture “Precision Coffee Culture”. Held by the Government of the State of Espírito Santo, Embrapa, Incaper, Consortium Research Coffee and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, the event is free and open to businesspeople, engineers, producers and other public working in the coffee sector.

According to Ricardo Venceslau, the lecture “Precision Coffee Farming” will present the concept and its benefits. “When managing crops we need to consider that they are not uniform. Each plot has its particularities, and therefore it is necessary to develop strategies that improve production, reduce costs and increase productivity”, says Venceslau.

The main objective of the Symposium is to present the results of research carried out within the scope of the Café Research Consortium, as well as to promote dialogue between the scientific community and the different sectors of the coffee production chain, with the aim of promoting increased competitiveness, improved product quality, signal new consumption scenarios and trends and ensure sustainability and permanent innovation in the coffee sector.
