Agrodefense and the Ministry of Agriculture sign a partnership for the 8th edition of the CNDA

With the aim of aligning the participation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) in the 8th National Agricultural Defense Conference (CNDA), the president of the Goiana Agricultural Defense Agency (Agrodefesa), José Ricardo Caixeta Ramos, met with the Minister of Agriculture, Carlos Fávaro, this week in Brasília. The event takes place from June 4th to 6th this year, at the Goiânia Convention Center.

During the meeting, minister Carlos Fávaro confirmed his participation in the opening of the Conference, in addition to Mapa's support in planning the event's technical programming, through the Secretariat of Agricultural Defense – a body subordinate to the Ministry and responsible for implementing State actions for prevention. , control and eradication of animal diseases and plant pests. Among the points requested by Mapa to be addressed in the CNDA are measures to prevent and control Avian Influenza and the new legislation focused on pesticides in Brazil.

Ramos highlighted that the meeting was very relevant and productive, especially for strengthening the integration between Agrodefesa and Mapa. “We have already worked through several actions focused on ensuring agricultural defense in Goiás. Now, the partnership with the Ministry is focused on holding the National Agricultural Defense Conference, which for the first time will be hosted in a state in the Central region. West. Organized by the Government of Goiás, through Agrodefesa, together with the Brazilian Society for Agricultural Defense (SBDA), Mapa and other partners, the event will bring important information to the public and provide greater visibility to the work carried out in the State.
