Crop-Livestock-Forest Integration (ILPF) will have a special program at AgroBrasília 2025. This Friday (23), at 9 am, the system will be the theme of a Field Day promoted by Embrapa within the Ivaldo Cenci Technology Park, the location of the technology and agricultural fair. The event will take place at the ILPF Technological Reference Unit (URT), the company's demonstration area.
The Field Day will be attended by the CEO of the ILPF Network, Francisco Matturro, with a talk entitled “In Brazil, producing and preserving is possible”, and by the researcher from Embrapa Pecuária Sudeste, Emerson Borghi, who will address the topic “Early intercropping as a strategy to make the second harvest viable in the Central Plateau”. Rural producer Camila Caixeta, from Agropecuária Santa Bárbara, will also present a case study on the topic “Crop-Livestock Integration: the model on our property”.
Since 2020, Camila Caixeta has been working with integrated systems, combining crops and livestock as a way to make more efficient use of productive areas. “We will share our experience with the integration of corn, soybeans and different types of grass and sorghum, showing the results we have obtained - both financial and technical”, says the producer.
According to Roberto Guimarães Júnior, a researcher at Embrapa Cerrados, the Crop-Livestock-Forest Integration Field Day is already a traditional event at AgroBrasília. “In this event, the research team, together with rural producers and the private sector, seeks to show the agribusiness community the benefits of adopting this system, whether for increased productivity or for its environmental and economic gains,” he emphasizes.
The presence of Embrapa specialists and representatives of the production sector reinforces AgroBrasília's commitment to the dissemination of sustainable technologies, adapted to the daily reality of the field. The program at URT is aimed at producers, technicians, managers and students interested in learning about innovative solutions to increase productivity and preserve natural resources.
