Agrobiológica Sustentabilidade will invest more than R$100 million in technology hub

Agrobiológica Sustentabilidade, specialized in biological solutions for agribusiness and belonging to Crop Care Holding, a Brazilian manager of agricultural input companies, has just acquired a 500 m² site in the city of Itápolis, in São Paulo.

The goals of the company, based in Leme, in the interior of São Paulo, are to build a new and modern research and development center, as well as a professional training hub, focusing on the demands of the Brazilian and Latin American bioinputs market. The investment of more than R$100 million will generate an exponential increase in the company's production capacity, which will expand service to more than 50 million hectares of cultivation.

According to Rafael Garcia, founder of Agrobiológica Sustentabilidade, the resources to be invested will be used to create the entire structure necessary for the design and production of biological products for the most different types of crops and in the technical training of the team of specialists, responsible for serving its network of distributors and, mainly, farmers.

“Innovation has always been a very important pillar for us. Now, with our new R&D center, we will also act as an incubator of new technologies for rural producers, through the development and launch of new bio-inputs. Here, we will produce the solutions in our portfolio, which are already pioneering in the market, and we will continue the development of several other technologies, which will add a lot to Brazilian agriculture and throughout Latin America.”, celebrates Garcia.

The operation will also be responsible for creating new jobs in the city of Itápolis, in São Paulo, and the surrounding area, promoting the economic advancement of the region. The forecast is that, by 2026, more than 200 new vacancies will be created.

“With this type of investment, the rural producer wins, mainly, who now have a wider range of products, capable of increasing and qualifying their plantings and harvests. Furthermore, the technological hub will bring new paths to the production of biological solutions for crops and will also prepare new professionals for the growing challenges of agribusiness around the world”, reiterates Costa.

Marcelo Abud, CEO of Grupo Lavoro, which also controls Lavoro Distribuição, the largest distributor of inputs in Latin America and partner of Agrobiológica Sustentabilidade, assesses that this is a big leap for the company, as it makes it not only more productive, aligned with the desires of rural producers for safer inputs, but reveals its potential to disseminate knowledge and innovations for the entire segment.
