Agrivalle, a biological, fertilizer and bio-stimulant company, brings to the Brazilian market a microbiological fungicide composed of three organisms (two bacteria and a fungus) that enable an increase in the product's spectrum of action.

Due to its composition, Shocker helps reduce the ability of diseases to take hold, favoring the development of healthy roots that will explore the soil, consequently generating healthier plants that can express their productive potential with efficiency and health.

"The bacteria Bacillus amyloliquefaciens and the fungus Trichoderma harzianum, reduce the potential for diseases to occur during the first cultivation, as they inhibit and hinder the growth of pathogens", explains Agrivalle's Research Director, Eduardo Bernando.

The microbiological fungicide received registration from Mapa (Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply), for two soil diseases: Rhizoctoniosis and White mold, which mainly attack soybean, coffee, cotton and HF crops. “It is the first product available to Brazilian farmers with this composition. This innovation is the result of Agrivalle's pioneering spirit, which has invested in research and biological formulations since 2006”, highlights Marketing Director, Wagner Coladel.

Shocker has three modes of action: competition, antibiosis and hyperparasitism, enabling safe application. Bernando explains that competition reduces the presence of the pathogen through competition for space and food. Antibiosis leads to the production of substances that inhibit pathogens. And finally, hyperparasitism causes interaction between two species, in which one of them, the parasite, benefits from the other.

The natural product leaves no residue, favors the balance of microorganisms, helps in the decomposition of organic matter, benefits plant nutrition and helps combat soil diseases.

Coladel highlights that research into the microbiological fungicide began more than 10 years ago, and that after the registration process through Mapa - which lasted around eight months -, Shocker will begin to be manufactured at the beginning of 2019 and will be available to producers from May this year.
