Agristar, a company in the national high-tech seed market for vegetables and fruits, has developed cultivars with unique characteristics for the horticulture market, which will be presented during the 23rd Hortitec, one of the most important fairs in the sector in Latin America, held between June 22nd and 24th, in the city of Holambra (SP).

The company brings visitors the latest news from its professional lines of Topseed Premium and Superseed seeds. Two products are highlighted, the Santa Cruz Santyno F1 tomato and the Versailles snap beans. The Santyno F1 is the first hybrid to be introduced on the market with a complete resistance package. Among the differentiators are tolerance to viruses such as TYLCV and TSWV and protection against fusarium race 3, in addition to adding one of the greatest production potentials on the market.

Versailles snap beans are a unique product on the market due to the fact that their pods are dark green in color and have good tolerance to anthracnose, rust and powdery mildew, giving greater peace of mind to the producer and a differentiator at the time of sale. Topseed Premium also presents the Kolima square pepper, in addition to presenting the results of the Itaipava and Tyson tomatoes, which were launched in 2015.

Superseed launches Mirella broadleaf arugula, which meets a growing demand in the hydroponic and conventional market for materials that perform well in both cases. It has a cycle of 30 days in hydroponic cultivation and approximately 42 days in traditional cultivation, good tolerance to foliar diseases such as mildew and an excellent visual appearance. The line also presents field results for the Érica F1 summer carrot and the Celebra hybrid onion.

Open Field Day

The results of these launches and other products can be seen at the Agristar experimental field, during the traditional Open Field Day, which completes 10 years in 2016. The event is held on the same days as the fair, between 22 and 24 June, from 7am to 16pm. The experimental field is in Santo Antônio de Posse (SP), located 8 km from Hortitec (Rod. SP 340, Km 147.2, towards Mogi Mirim - Campinas). The company will provide vans to transport participants, starting at 8:30 am and leaving every half hour. Boarding and disembarking will be at the Hortitec parking lot, close to the pavilion.
