Aiming to facilitate producers' choices and bring innovations and knowledge, technology is increasingly present in the field. In the horticulture sector, this scenario is also a reality and, aware of this, Agristar provides the Virtual OFD, a complete immersion in the field of the Experimental Station and the company's headquarters, located in Santo Antônio de Posse (SP).

Providing details of the main new products and launches presented this year during Open Field Day – the traditional field day that took place in June – the free tool allows producers from all over the country to have, in the palm of their hand, the experience close to those who participated in the event.

“Even with over 4.500 visitors in person this year, we know that many were unable to attend, especially from the South region, due to the problems faced with the rains. Therefore, we sought a practical and accessible solution so that everyone could have the opportunity to learn about and delve deeper into our portfolio. The Virtual OFD can be accessed via computer or cell phone and the user can visit the entire Experimental Station, checking technical details of the products in the field, greenhouse and hydroponics”, explains Agristar’s Marketing Manager, Marcos Vieira.

During the immersion, users have access to several interfaces, from structural details, such as the tunnel at the entrance to the event, which displayed this year's institutional campaign in detail, to the 23.000 m² of open field crops and 420 m² of greenhouses, prepared since the end of 2023 with the launches and highlights of each of the company's lines.

Topseed Premium launched the Nivus tomato, Vitória carrot, Itachi chive and Augusto eggplant rootstock. Superseed/TSV Sementes launched the Taos tomato, Solar carrot, Chelsea onion, Hulk okra and Naruto chive. Topseed presented its Microgreens portfolio. In greenhouses, the cocktail tomatoes (mini tomatoes), saladette tomatoes (Italian), cucumbers (Japanese and industrial) and products for hydroponics (leafy greens and apples) were the highlights.

Agristar's digital immersion features clickable points that indicate the variety planted, its respective line, technical information and explanatory videos with the company's experts, covering the main characteristics of the materials. In addition, users have access to the photo and video gallery of the three days of the event.

“Our goal is to ensure that OFD Virtual reaches even more professionals and continues to consolidate itself as an accessible tool for the dissemination of knowledge and information focused on horticulture, at a national and international level, strengthening and developing the sector”, he concludes.
