"Bipolaris maydis" has spread in Brazil and has a special impact on the second crop
Brazil is increasingly attracting the attention of the international market due to its production capacity of food and agricultural commodities. In 2024, Brazilian agribusiness exports totaled R$991,15 billion, according to data from the Ministry of Agriculture (Mapa). These figures reinforce the country's potential as one of the largest global suppliers in the sector.
The numbers continue to rise. According to Mapa, every two days, a new market is conquered for Brazilian agricultural products. Since the beginning of 2023, 285 markets have been opened in 62 countries. This movement is also reflected in Agrishow, the main technology fair for agribusiness in Latin America.
The 30th edition, which takes place from April 28 to May 2, in Ribeirão Preto, expects to once again receive around 195 thousand visitors from more than 70 different countries and more than 800 brands, with national and international companies, with emphasis on nations such as Spain, Czech Republic, India, United States, Colombia, Netherlands, China and Hong Kong.
The fair will once again feature the presence of foreign pavilions, an International Business Round and action from the Brazil Machinery Solutions Program, a partnership between ABIMAQ and ApexBrasil to promote exports of machinery and equipment, which demonstrate how the event has become a strategic space for opportunities and global technological exchange.
One of the highlights is the 23rd edition of the International Business Round, which will be held between April 29 and May 1 at the International Visitor Center, and will bring together buyers from different countries interested in establishing business contacts to explore opportunities in the Brazilian market.
João Carlos Marchesan states that Agrishow has established itself as an internationally recognized business catalyst, connecting Brazilian agribusiness to the main demands of the international market.
“In addition to being a space for connecting producers and new technologies, the event reinforces Brazil's position as a global reference in food and fiber production, as well as having cutting-edge technologies, attracting buyers and investors from different regions of the world," he concludes.
