In 2017 the Agrishow – International Agricultural Technology Fair will have a new date: it will be from May 1st to 5th, 2017, in Ribeirão Preto/SP. The event is an initiative of the main agribusiness entities in the country: Abag – Brazilian Agribusiness Association, Abimaq – Brazilian Association of the Machinery and Equipment Industry, You – National Association for Fertilizer Diffusion, faesp – Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of the State of São Paulo and SRB - Brazilian Rural Society, and is organized byInforma Exhibitions, part of the Informa Group, one of the largest publicly traded promoters of fairs, conferences and training in the world.

The fair is considered the most important for the presentation of technological innovations in the sector, being a meeting point between rural producers, professionals and companies that make up the agribusiness production chain. Its importance can be proven by the good results obtained in the 2016 edition, held on April 25th and 29th, which achieved business of around R$1,95 billion, surpassing the value of the 2015 edition, which was R$1,9. 17 billion. The 18th International Business Round also achieved a record US$XNUMX million in sales, including closed and future transactions, with prospects for the coming months. This commercial promotion action, called the Buyer Project, is organized by the Brazil Machinery Solutions Program, a partnership between the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) and the Brazilian Association of the Machinery and Equipment Industry (ABIMAQ).

The 800 exhibiting brands present launched the year's launches at Agrishow 2016. The 152 thousand visitors – predominantly buyers and small, medium and large rural producers from Brazil and abroad – were able to see new agricultural machines and implements, technologies for precision agriculture, solutions for irrigation and sustainable agriculture, inputs for various types of crops, launches for livestock farming, as well as innovative trends for future agribusiness.

For the 2017 edition, the organization intends to bring innovations in terms of infrastructure and technological solutions that contribute to visits by agribusiness professionals. This year, for example, online ticket sales were implemented, which made it easier for visitors to enter; new tools were added to the APP agrishow, which brought more agility and organization to an organized visit by rural producers; and an exclusive content channel with relevant information from the sector was developed. In terms of infrastructure, two more avenues and two streets were paved, totaling 25.000 meters.
