Negotiations between employees of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply and the federal government finally had an effect. Federal agricultural inspectors gained a new name for their career. Since publication in the Official Gazette of the Union (DOU) last Friday (29/7), they have been called federal agricultural tax auditors. The achievement is an old demand for the category.

The change is just a recognition, because, in practice, they have been carrying out auditing functions for a long time. The change was included in Conversion Bill No. 33/2016, which also deals with the salary adjustment, resulting from an agreement reached with the Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management in 2015. The approved text also granted an adjustment of 5,5 % in August paychecks and 5,0% in January 2017.
