In the first ten months of 2020, the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of Brazilian agribusiness grew 16,81% compared to the same period of the previous year, according to data from the Brazilian Agriculture and Livestock Confederation (CNA) and the Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics (Cepea). Promoting agricultural financing during the pandemic, the agtech Bart Digital transferred more than R$3,2 billion in 2020, corresponding to the soybean, corn, cotton and coffee cycles. The digital issuance of CPRs (Rural Product Certificates) reached 13 Brazilian states.

"With the pandemic, the need to modernize hitherto analogue processes was one of the biggest obstacles in the agro market. To contribute to the continuity of financing operations for rural producers, and ensure that inputs reach the field, agtech Bart Digital anticipated the launch of the Ativus platform, which enables completely electronic issuance and recording of receivables", explains Mariana Bonora, founder of agtech Bart Digital.

Agtech had already identified the need for computerization of agribusiness processes. In fact, this was one of the points debated during the approval of the Agro MP. “The pandemic arrived when companies were still starting to think about digital solutions. We chose to bring forward the launch of Ativus because we understood that, during the pandemic, it was urgent to adapt the agro market to digital - as well as other sectors”, adds Mariana.

Currently, the Ativus system has users with diverse profiles, such as industries, resellers, cooperatives, financial institutions and securitization companies. In addition to serving the bases of the productive sector, Bart Digital also works with notary offices and has had excellent results, even with those who had never registered electronic titles.

“There are notary offices that are unfamiliar, but everyone has been open. We often have the opportunity to exchange experiences and find new solutions for the field. These entities also have complete freedom to contact us, so we can think together about how to optimize rural relations”, details the agtech founder.
