Tribute to Alysson Paolinelli

Alysson Paolinelli, nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2021, will be honored during the 10th edition of the LIDE Agribusiness Forum. Paolinelli was one of those responsible for the so-called Green Revolution, which made Brazil one of the world's largest food producers, modernized Embrapa (Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation), promoted the economic occupation of the Brazilian Cerrado, restructured agricultural credit and rebalanced the occupation of the Amazon biome, among other actions.

For Mônika Bergamaschi, the opportunity to honor the agricultural engineer is unique, as his life dedicated to the sector and his work as a whole make him worthy of this award. “Paolinelli continues to illuminate the paths for Brazil to continue contributing, sustainably, to global food security”, she emphasizes.
