Agribusiness and industrial segment boost engine grinding sector

CONAREM, National Council of Engine Repairs, closes 2021 with a positive message for the market. According to the entity, the grain harvest estimated at 300 million tons, the lack of electronic components for automakers and the rise in the industrial auto parts segment, especially in the heavy-duty market, positively influenced vehicle repairs and engine rectification.

Throughout 2021, CONAREM was present in the main sectoral activities, contributing information to basic projects in the parts replacement segment, such as the creation of the Digital Parts Catalog, an initiative that involves industries, retailers and vehicle repair with the purpose to create a base containing the root of each vehicle and the identification of its components based on the regional project.

The entity also maintained its commitment and efforts towards the professionalization and technical service of its members. During the year, it continued to build its collection with the weekly inclusion of new engines in the database, such as that of AERA-USA and Mitchell, which contains technical information on North American, European and Eastern light line vehicles. . “We are fully aware that the quality of the service provided is directly linked to the level of technical information that the team has”, says José Arnaldo Laguna, president of the entity.

With the help of SEBRAE and SENAC, CONAREM promoted online management and marketing courses for members throughout the country. The entity also signed an alliance with Senai SP so that professionals with experience in machining can study the grinding environment with the aim of offer members a schedule of improvements.

Despite the pandemic, training was not suspended. CONAREM and its partners completed the entire course agenda during 2021, but in a virtual format, allowing information to be delivered to rectifiers across the country.

It invests in programs that support management, production, development of consultancies and training to improve the quality and productivity of grinding machines.
