This week, Agrária was alongside 184 other organizations from Paraná at the Fiep (Paraná Industry Federation) auditorium in Curitiba to present the Paraná Climate Seal. The certification is an initiative of the State Secretariat for Sustainable Development (Sedest) and recognizes the work of cooperatives, companies and municipalities that take action to reduce their carbon footprint, combat climate change, and act under the pillars of ESG: environment, social and governance.

The evaluation is now in its 10th edition and Agrária has been participating since 2021. The Cooperative received an A rating in the Domestic Market category, a result it had already obtained in previous years. “We have numerous clients, especially international ones, who are very demanding regarding our sustainable practices. The Paraná Climate Seal is proof of our work, which is why it is so important for us to continue participating,” said Rodrigo Lass, Agrária’s Marketing and Corporate Strategy Manager, during the Seal award ceremony.

Joining the Paraná Climate Seal is free and voluntary. The results obtained by organizations are verified through the State Public Registry of Greenhouse Gas Emissions. Compared to 2007, the year in which Agrária began transforming its energy matrix, prioritizing renewable sources, the reduction in gas emissions in its industrial units has already exceeded 75%.
