Aware of the industry's role in reducing impacts on the environment, AGCO is participating in the Integer Emissions Summit, which will be held on February 12, in São Paulo. Jeferson de Lima, Engine Installation Manager at AGCO, will represent the company with emphasis on the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural equipment and solutions in the panel on how biodiesel will impact the reduction of nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions.
“For AGCO, discussions about the impacts of biodiesel and assessments of its use are important, as this fuel is increasingly used in agribusiness and has provided new opportunities for the agricultural machinery market, in addition to benefits for the environment”, says Lima .
The Integer Emissions Summit will bring together executives from different companies and sectors of the economy to discuss the challenges facing industries in controlling NOx emissions in Brazil. This is in the face of a scenario of regulatory changes that is still in its initial phase, but which tends to become increasingly strict.
“Another point that will be addressed in the panel is the importance of correctly specifying the biodiesel, mainly related to oxidation stability and ensuring that there will be no problems in the machines' injection system”, concludes the AGCO Engine Installation Manager.
